Cathy Pate

Cathy Pate joined HWE as Vice President in 2010. She is also a Partner with National Resort & Club Management.

Previously, she was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Club Resorts from January of 1991 through May of 2001. Club Resorts, owned by ClubCorp based in Dallas, TX, is a collection of prestigious destination resorts including (at one time or presently) Pinehurst Resort and Country Club, Pinehurst, NC; The Homestead, Hot Springs, VA; Barton Creek, Austin, TX; Firestone Country Club, Akron, OH; Daufuskie Island Resort and Club, Hilton Head, SC; and Palmilla Resort and Golf Club, Los Cabos, Mexico. During her tenure, Club Resorts enjoyed double-digit growth for ten consecutive years. During this period, Pinehurst was the site of several major national golf championships, including the 1999 US Open Championship. The Homestead was acquired and restored to prominence as one of the premier destination resorts in the United States. Barton Creek underwent a $50 million expansion program, and Daufuskie Island added a new Conference Center. All of these enhancements complemented the sales and marketing efforts in establishing Club Resorts as one of the finest collections of resort locations in the world.

Prior to her experience with Club Resorts, Ms. Pate served as an executive with several other resort/hotel companies. Her experience includes sales and marketing for accommodations, golf, spa, tennis, equestrian and skiing activities. Ms. Pate served as a Board Director for both Club Resorts and Private Clubs Magazine. She was a member of Meeting Planners International and Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International. She was also a member of the International Association of Conference Centers and served on the Media Liaison committee.

Ms. Pate holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baylor University. She and her husband Gregg have three grown children and reside near Austin, TX.
